Friends From Ravelry

This is my careghan made by several very kind and caring members. They made this for me as they knew I was sick. The careghan is actually much straighter than this, I was just so excited when I received it and took a very quick snap shot of it.

This is my crochet hook holder from the swap we had recently. Cristina (aka Stramenda) made this for me.

She is a novest sewer, but she has done a great job, I just love it!

The Blue Granny Square Design

I chose a granny square that was not too plain, not too open and one that I could add a splash of another colour to and make it about a 6 inch square, I needed 12 of them to achieve the design I visioned.
A close up of the square.
The granny square design came from the Crochet Inspirations Pattern Book. The 12 squares are now joined into a ring.

This is the border crocheted around the bottom.
This is a close up of the griddle st used above the granny squares.
Now this is what I made. A nice, made to fit summer top for myself! I crocheted from the top of the granny squares and upwards in the griddle st and tried it on as I went along, I did frog it once, but all in all it fits me very well, it even doubles as a very short dress, LOL.

This is the border pattern I used, I found it on the internet somewhere and did not save the link. My pattern is closer in as I used the space between the dc in the granny square to keep it even.

Finally Finished Some UFO'S

These bags are the rest of what was left from the table full of projects, the rag bag embellishment and the gold toned rag bag. I haven't shown the purple back pack type rag bag before, so it's a first time here and it's finished.
This is where I chose to place the flowers, they actually have a little window behind them, I cut out a piece of cardboard and covered it with the material I used for the bag and sewed it onto the back of the flower.

This the bag fully lined with a piece of material I used in making the bag.

Here we see the gold toned rag bag, the handle is adorned with beads.

And here it is lined with the matching material I used in making the bag. With a pocket to use.

This is a new style back pack type rag bag, there is a slider on the handle which closes the bag and doubles for a spacer to use the straps for a back pack. It also has beads that surround the outer top of the bag.

Here you can see the bag is lined and the slider is at the top of the bag, ready for you to make it close.

I would say this little purple beauty would be great for the beach.

Guess What I am Making Here

It has nice light blue granny squares with a touch of white in between and I have progressed a bit further than these photo's, but I won't show any more photo's until it is completed. But you can try and guess what it may be.
